This condo unit remodel is located in a secluded area overlooking the mangroves and biscayne bay. The original unit had all low ceilings and a closed off kitchen, causing the unit to be dark. Our concept was to create an open floor plan and select finishes and furnishings that not only capture the nautical feel of Ocean Reef but also complement the view of the mangroves with some contemporary accents. We opened up and enlarged the kitchen, vaulted the ceilings in the primary suite and living room and used stained wood for the finishes. We also upgraded and added more lighting to the space including a cove that wraps around the kitchen to bring more light into the space.
